Whenever any resolution of the council designates and describes any additional street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the chief of police shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected by such resolution and this chapter. Those streets and parts of streets established by such resolution are declared to be streets, the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons. All other provisions and exceptions in this chapter shall apply to such streets in the same manner as if they had been designated in this chapter. (Ord. 259 § 7, 1963)
