The city treasurer shall give a separate bond, which is fixed in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars, as recommended by the city attorney. The amount of the master official bond covering all regular officers and employees of the town, including the city clerk, is fixed by the city council in the penal sum of fifty thousand dollars, as recommended by the city attorney.
