Each violation of this code shall be a misdemeanor and punishable as provided herein, provided that in the interests of justice the city attorney may charge and prosecute any violation as an infraction which shall be punishable as provided. (Ord. 490 § 3, 1996; Ord. 387 § 3, 1981)
